SMART goals aren't that smart
Most people are familiar with the acronym SMART when used to set goals. Under this method, goals must be Specific, Measurable, Achievable or Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
However, SMART goals have some major limitations, including having a narrow focus, being unclear, and leading to a success/failure mindset.
It's time to make a PACT with your goals - make them Purposeful, Actionable, Continuous, and Trackable to completely rewrite your story about goals — now you can easily achieve your goals with time and energy to spare.
PACT focuses more on taking action, letting you reassess, and encouraging continual advancement. It works well when you have long-term, audacious goals, letting you track movement toward achieving your goals and building new habits.
